This antibody reacts with the CD16- antigen (the Fc gamma receptor II), which is expressed on granulocytes, NK lymphocytes and macrophages. The mobility of the CD16-antigen is dependent on the NA1/NA2 allotype of the neutrophil donor. The monoclonal antibody inhibits the binding of human IgG to the Fc gamma receptor II.

CD16 clone GRM1, mAb is used for identify/enumerate human antigen (FcRIII). GRM1 recognizes NA2-FcRIIIb & FcRIIIa whereas clone 3G8 is an antipan FcγRIII. It´s effective for direct IF staining of human tissue for FCM tests using ≤1 μg/10^6 cells.
