This antibody reacts with the CD61-antigen (GPIIIa), which is expressed on human platelets. The monoclonal antibody reacts with platelets, megakaryocytes, megakaryoblasts, endothelial cells, fibroblasts, smooth muscle cells and osteoblasts (integrin beta-3 chain) in complexed form and does not react with the platelets of patients with Glanzmann Thrombasthenia.
